I picked this puzzle because there are so many distinctive colors in the picture, I figured it would be an easier one to assemble. It was not. Because of the watercolor-y nature of the pieces, everything really starts to look alike and it’s hard to pick out specific objects to build around. My boyfriend and I still finished in an afternoon, but not without a fair amount of grumbling and frustration.

I enjoyed this puzzle. It was challenging but not TOO difficult or frustrating. There were many uniquely shaped pieces that were fun and satisfying to put together.

We completed several puzzles over the holidays—the quality of this one is noticeable. The chipboard is thick and well-laminated. (I had to pull out the glue bottle for another brand as the lamination was incomplete. Annoying!) The picture is inked in beautiful jewel tones with a matte textured surface. The picture seems more impressionistic when trying to put it together; it is not always obvious where pieces go in the picture. It does have typical shapes as well as funky ones in a varied scale, some pieces about 1/4 size of the larger ones (see pic). There are edges that butt up to others without interlocking (only two edge pieces in the photo). Two people put this together in about 2.5-3 hours, a little more than the time to watch Star Wars: The Force Awakens. We are HP fans, so the subject was the biggest factor in our purchase. Definitely recommend this puzzle.

This puzzle was so fun – especially for HP fans. 500 pieces feels like enough for a fun challenge, but not overwhelmingly so. The pieces themselves were a mix of a more “standard” shapes and some cool different ones. The quality was good, no problems at all. The composition of the picture was great – it had several distinct sections that made it feel logical as to where to group the pieces. It was one of the more fun puzzles we’ve done lately!

Bought this as a fun Christmas eve activity for my wife and I. The puzzle pieces have amazing and crazy shapes that make the puzzle really interesting, the image is beautifully painted and the colours are vivid. Above lighting did make it hard to see the puzzle from some angles as they were very reflective. One of the pieces did loose some of its image and the pieces did seem a little soft when pulling the puzzle apart, but overall it was a really nice and fun puzzle for a pair of Harry Potter Fans.

Beautiful puzzle but probably the most difficult 500 piece puzzle I’ve done. The colors on the box don’t closely resemble the colors on the puzzle so it’s hard to spot the pieces you’re looking for. It’s also hard to look for pieces with distinct markings because there aren’t distinct lines within the painting as most of the colors are blurred into one another so finding a piece that you are matching to the picture can be difficult. It’s fun though and the pieces are thick and fit nicely together.

My wife loves Harry Potter. She actually found this locally. We ended driving to the store and they had just sold out. Needless to say she was devastated.I am thankful for Amazon Prime. I was able to surprise her with this. We took the week of Christmas and put this together. We had fun and got to relax and spend quality time as a family. Some of the reviews complain about the shape of the pieces. Personally I enjoyed the challenge. The quality of the material was exceptional. I am going to order the other puzzles they offer.

Love Harry Potter and this was so much fun to put together. It was challenging for a couple reasons. The pieces are oddly shaped and made it a challenging in that aspect. Also I dont know what coating is on the puzzle to protect it but it gave off a glare in overhead lighting. Made it hard to see the what was in the pieces. Over all though I had fun putting it together.

These are the best puzzles. Well made. The picture is great. I did have to research what was flying in the upper right. It is a hat that popped out of a Wizarding Cracker (like a firecracker). Love it.
