    This was my first Aquarius brand puzzle and I’m really happy with the quality. There wasn’t much dust, the pieces fit tightly, and the image is clear. There’s enough variation in the piece shapes and shades of grey that it wasn’t too difficult to complete the “all black” sections, but I do a LOT of puzzles.The only weird thing for me was the SUPER glossy finish on the pieces. Most puzzles I’ve done have a semi-gloss or matte finish, this one is like a mirror if the light hits it right. It looks cool when it’s done so I didn’t take off a star, but I did have to be careful of glare causing me to think the piece was a different color than it was so just keep that in mind. If you don’t like glossy puzzles, this one isn’t for you.

    Mom’s review: I have to admit, I like puzzles, but I just couldn’t get through this one. I feel like a quitter. It’s like quitting a book. You want to push on through just for closure, but life is short, and you need to determine how you want to spend your time. The composite nature of this puzzle made it beyond my reach. If it had just been a single scene depicted, it would have been more straightforward. I tried with my kid, who is usually a puzzle enthusiast, but ultimately, after the sprawled pieces sat on the kitchen table and began collecting dust after 3 weeks, we determined that no, this is not worth our time.Kid’s review: This puzzle erased my sanity and gave me anxiety that I was putting together the wrong pieces. About half the puzzle is black pieces, and the reference picture is so small that you can barely discern the details. The fact that the puzzle pieces are so small makes it easy to get the placement wrong or lose the pieces.
