You need to keep telling yourself it’s not a Marathon… not a race with this one. It took me exactly a month to finish this. It definitely got glued lol. I did it sections so that it would be just small enough to store back inside the box when I wanted to redecorate, instead of gluing it all together. All in all, it was a lot of grueling work but it was worth it in my opinion. Especially if you’re a big Harry Potter fan.Pros:• this puzzle absolutely stunning when finished and hung on the wall. Definitely would be a conversation piece if you wanted it to be lol.• a challenge(if that’s what you’re looking for)• the size of it, this is my first time doing a 3000p puzzle, but I absolutely appreciate how big it is• the pieces all fit together perfectly, they lock together very wellCons:• low res/low quality puzzle in regards to the image. While you’re doing it you can tell it was probably a blown up small image, because it’s fairly blurry.• the picture on the cover barely helped, I barely referenced it.***here’s tip: use the image on Amazon, there’s an image on here that helped a lot more and I was able to zoom in as well.My best advice is to sort all of the pieces as you go through looking for edge pieces. From the sky pieces, to what looks like rocks, and what looks like what might be part of the castle. Then just store them away in ziploc bags and work on the puzzle in sections. I worked on the castle first, the rocks, then the sky, and just slowly opened the bags of separated pieces as I went along. For the sky, I started with the darker right corner first and separated all the orange/white pieces out and did as much of the blue parts before I did the rest. The sky was actually the easiest part. It’s the rocks that will drive you nuts in my opinion.

I can’t think of anything more fitting to completing this puzzle, than the expression: “It’s a marathon not a sprint”. You’re in it for the long haul; it took me alone a little over 4 weeks, so take that into consideration. I regularly do 2000 piece puzzles but this 3000 one carries an exponential increase in complexity, so you’ll need to use every trick in the book imaginable. I have ready many of the reviews out there (both positive and negative) so I’ll address some of the complaints and will provide my own pros and cons:Complaints from other reviewers- This thing is hard as hell – yes, it’s hard so you need to be mentally prepared- Border pieces don’t line up – I attribute this to a mistake from the person, mine lines up perfectly- discoloration, misalignment, missing pieces, etc – AQUARIUS must have fixed these issues because I did not experience any of them- The picture on the box has different coloration than the picture on the puzzle, or the picture is too small and no poster is provided – yes those are true, but it just adds to the complexity and should be treated as an inconvenience rather than a showstopperCons- The puzzle surface is too glossy, making it difficult to make out what each piece is under direct (and indirect) sunlight or with overhead bulbs- About 70% of the puzzle is made up of sky and rocks that all seem to endlessly look the same, so you’ll have to resort to a number of techniques and tricks to get this done. If you’re like me, and prefer to solve puzzles by actually figuring out what the pieces look like and how they fit together, then you’ll enjoy doing the castle and the Harry Potter name parts, but the rest not so much- The colors are very dark and subdued and image is not super hd, unlike the puzzles from most major brands where the colors pop and the pictures are high quality. The rocks part in particular is very dark. It makes for a cool, dreary picture, but it’s hell for a puzzlePros- Completing this is something you can be proud of- Pushes your limits as a puzzle-doer, making you more skilled- It’s a cool Harry Potter picture if you are a true fan and want to hang it- Makes for a hell of a storyThank you all, hope this review is helpful

Excellent puzzle but no large reference picture isis ridiculous

This puzzle was worth the time and money! It took me about a months and 6 days to complete, I am home all day so this allowed me to devote a lot of time to it. The sky and bottom were pretty difficult with the lack of detail but if you like challenging puzzles this is it!

Not to throw shade on any of the 1 star reviews, but I’ve completed this puzzle and several of the complaints I’ve seen are exactly why I almost loved this puzzle. The cons below are what kept me from giving it 5 stars.PROS:* Attractive puzzle with several sections that are fun to work on.* the difference of the cut on multiple pieces of this puzzle is so slim that there are multiple instances (couple dozen) where you can be tricked that pieces fit together when in actuality they do not. This adds to the already formidable challenge of doing a 3,000 piece puzzle itself.* Size. This puzzle is massive. You’ll need a big area (a pool table or dining room table should do).CONS:* the difference of the cut on multiple pieces of this puzzle is so slim that there are multiple instances (couple dozen) where you can be tricked that pieces fit together when in actuality they do not. Note that I’ve also listed this as a pro.* piece quality is average. Given that there are many opportunities to put the wrong pieces together (see above) this means you will start to have a number of frayed/damaged pieces.* No poster. The picture of the puzzle is already reduced on the box so if you like to cheat (that’s what we call it in my house but hey! no judgement) you’ll have to squint a bit.* Yes, the image is blurry. This is a blown up version – probably the 1,000 piece version is much clearer. On the other hand, once done it looks like the picture. In summary, after having done ten 1,000 piece puzzles this year (each in less than 3 days) the fact that this puzzle was challenging, had me convinced it had many many missing or incorrect pieces, and yet I still completed it makes this a winner. (A bit embarrassed to admit, this took about 3 weeks). If this sounds too challenging to you, get the 1,000 piece version of this puzzle also on Amazon.

This puzzle is decent, not a ton of dust and pieces seem to fit together okay. There is no picture printout included which is frustrating as you have to use the very small picture on the box to determine details. Will update when puzzle is completed.

Es un hermoso rompecabezas, realmente difícil, pero vale la pena cada segundo y dólar invertido

First – it’s huge. Wider than most card/fold out tables so we put a piece of drywall over a table in our Rec room to fit it. It’s funny; once it’s together it looks great but when you look in the box it seems like “ALL the pieces look black!!” It can be overwhelming at times. I agree with many of the reviews – it doesn’t match the colors on the box, there’s no poster so you only have the tiny box pic, it’s blurry, each half of the puzzle is a slightly off in color – mine didn’t have as big of as offset as others but that and the fact that some pieces do fit together in more than one place was enough to make me doubt myself enough to look up other reviews. Once I realized I wasn’t crazy it made it easier to accept all that. Yes, the lower third was super hard until the last 200 pieces or so and then it actually went pretty quick. I am quite the amateur at puzzles and I didn’t work on this religiously at all so it took about 100 days total but I’ve already glued it and want to hang it up! Huge Harry Potter fan and my first 3000 piece puzzle so I’m very proud of myself to finish it! So yep, very hard…but you know you’re buying a 3000 piece puzzle, right?

*Update- it’s almost Christmas and I’ve had this puzzle on my table since April. I’ve had to put this puzzle together without the help of a poster or photo (see my earlier review below), since the colors on the pieces don’t even match the box photo, and also the pieces are blurry. So, apparently this is a low quality puzzle. If you want a real challenge this is it!——————————————-Paying this much for a puzzle was a real splurge for me, but I’ve never done a 3,000 piece, and it’s Harry Potter, and I’ve had a really demanding month at work, so I splurged. The puzzle is huge. The quality is pretty good. There is one thing that I have a complaint about and that’s the fact that there’s no poster with it. It’s just the box.So you’re looking for tiny details on the photo on top of the box. I’ve had cheap puzzles that didn’t come with a poster but for one this size and price, I’m really disappointed.I will proceed, though, cuz I like a puzzle challenge.

Unfortunately they didn’t send a bigger picture inside the box, the picture on the front of the box is small
